Jamie Farr – Unknown Rank: 1957
Jamie Farr discovered his love for acting at 11 when he won two dollars in a contest. After high school, he met Red Skelton and became a regular on “The Red Skelton Show” for two seasons. Something of a rarity, Farr first played the role of a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps before being drafted into the actual Army.
Interestingly, he was sent to Queens, New York, to make training films after completing basic training. He was also sent to Korea and Tokyo. In a 2021 interview, he revealed that his work on the show “M*A*S*H” was the most fulfilling project he has done for television.
