45 Yoga Poses To Unlock Flexibility, Strength and Wellbeing
Child’s Pose – Shishuasana
“Shishuasana,” or Child’s Pose, is no child’s play! This restful and restorative yoga pose starts on your hands and knees. Spread the knees wide while keeping the big toes touching. Exhale and lower the torso between the thighs, lengthening the tailbone while your head rests on the floor or a pillow. Extend the arms in front of you.
This pose stretches the hips, thighs, and ankles, reducing stress and fatigue. By promoting forward bends, it calms the brain and helps relieve stress and anxiety. Additionally, it gently relaxes the muscles on the front of the body while softly and passively stretching the back torso muscles.
