These Iconic Stars Are Still Alive and Well! Here’s What They Have Been Up To

Peggy Dow, 93, Born in 1928 – Harvey

With only three years in the entertainment industry, it’s no wonder why many people don’t recognize Peggy Dow. After being spotted by an agent in 1949, she was offered a seven-year contract with Universal. Her first thrillers, Undertow and Woman in Hiding, were hits, but she was also seen as a compelling love interest.

In 1950, she was paired opposite James Stewart in Harvey. Then in the following year, she played the leading lady of Arthur Kennedy in Bright Victory. Dow chose to turn her back on a lucrative industry after marrying Walter Helmerich. It’s unknown how she’s doing now, but she has done well in keeping her life private.
