When the Reality Hits you in the Face
The floral bouquet has come a long way from the times when a bride-to-be carried a fragrant blend of herbs down the aisle. Sometimes, the bouquet would even include a garlic bulb to ward off the evildoers who had ill intentions towards the newlyweds, or just to mask the betrothed woman’s body odor given that daily baths weren’t in vogue at the time.
This woman became the victim of one of the funny mishaps that happened on their big day. It does give a literal depiction to the expression about stopping to smell the roses. Thankfully, it’s a better alternative to the rice tossing tradition.
