Thelma Barlow – Age 92
In 1997, legendary “Coronation Street” actress Thelma Barlow bid goodbye to her character Mavis Wilton, the part which she had played for nearly 30 years. It was a hard pill to swallow for fans, especially since the part had one of the most memorable storylines in the show.
However, Barlow admitted in 2020 that she was asked to return to the show twice or thrice but she declined the offers because she felt she didn’t know how to play the part anymore. After this stint, Barlow showed her another facade in “Dinnerladies” as Dolly from 1998 to 2000. She last appeared in the 2019 movie “Florence Foster Jenkins.”
