Sam Hunt – Football

Prior to becoming a country musician, Sam Hunt sought to make a living as a professional football player. He was the quarterback for the University of Alabama Birmingham and passed for 1,905 yards and ten touchdowns in his second season. He was signed as a free agent by the Kansas City Chiefs for a brief while.
After a failed sporting career, he shifted gears and pursued a career in music, which proved to be a wise decision. He landed a deal with MCA Nashville and released a four-song EP not long after. “Southside,” his second album, was released in April 2020.
