High Moral Standards
Debt defaults have increased in frequency across the nation. In America, loan defaults are pretty standard, particularly among the country’s students. That is not the case with the Amish, who would rather stand on their head than default on loan repayment. It’s a part of who they are, and compared to the average individual, the Amish have a very different perspective on debt.
In actuality, many see a late payment as theft. For instance, if someone defaults for five days, they have stolen from your creditor throughout that time. Because of their reputation for leading this way of life, the Amish have always been a banker’s dream.
