Not All Heroes Wear Capes…
But this one does! But should superheroes always wear capes? Part of the reason superheroes have capes is that it shows some kind of dynamism difficult to create in early comic books. Blade, the vampire-hunter, who wears a trenchcoat, swings it around like a cape.
Some heroes, like Batman and The Shadow, use their cape as a utility tool. Of course, it’s a fashion statement too. Superman does not do anything with his cape, though, and is just part of his costume. It seems our blue-caped Halloween-goer is just wearing it for similar reasoning!
