Crossfit so heavily emphasizes perseverance through pain that there is not a lot of time for play. The cultural message is exercise until you eat your breakfast for a second time, and that is not fun for anyone, least of all the person that made the breakfast. Why not dress up a little?
After all these items, we can conclude that there is something extraordinary about wearing costumes, not just because it means expressing ourselves. Others can also be amused, warmed, or curious. It breaks the pattern of everyday life and invites us to be more present. Isn’t that worthwhile?
