Eagle Pose – Garudasana

Prepare for takeoff with “Garudasana,” the Eagle Pose, a yoga posture symbolizing the mighty eagle in flight. Start this standing balance pose in Mountain Pose or “Tadasana.” Shift the weight to the left foot and bend the knees slightly. Cross the right thigh over the left, hooking the right foot behind the left calf if possible.
Stretch the arms forward, cross the left arm over the right, and bend the elbows. Your calves, ankles, and thighs become more powerful, the shoulders open, and concentration sharpens. Embrace “Garudasana,” where you can soar above everyday stress and connect with your inner fortitude.
