Greek & Gothic Greatness
This looks like a house from a fairytale. It also looks like it was complicated to build. Actually, it’s a bit of both. This is a Gothic Victorian house built in 1888 and is situated in Arcata, California. This kind of design was pervasive in that period as well.
Earlier architectural principles greatly influenced the 19th century and involved Greek, Gothic, and Renaissance designs with exotic styles. These styles were slightly modified due to the updated construction tool available in the era. One of the most famous constructions from the period is the Statue of Liberty.
