Graham Bell Adds a Feather to His Cap

When we think of Alexander Graham Bell, we remember he was credited with inventing and patenting the telephone. However, the British inventor also has another credit to his name. He’s the author of the famous saying ‘when one door closes, another door opens.’
But, of course, we never remember the second half – ‘but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the ones which open for us.’ This quote is engraved in a stone wall at the International Peace Garden.
