Drew Barrymore – E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial
As a child actor, Drew Barrymore could hardly believe her luck when she joined famed filmmaker Steven Spielberg in 1982 as a cast member of “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.” Playing the character of Gertie, a six-year-old Barrymore rocketed to fame as her acting career took off.
Like many other child actors who rose to stardom at a very young age, Barrymore had to battle with her inner demons before coming out victorious on the other side and getting her life back on track. In September 2021, she kicked off the second season of her CBS talk show, “The Drew Barrymore Show.”
