What Makes a Person Tick?
The documentation of the experiment by Lawrence Wright explained that the goal of the exercise was to understand what was the determining factor in the formation of a person’s personality. The people behind it were trying to answer the age-old question of whether nature or nurture causes people to behave in a certain way.
The method targeted twins and triplets due to their identical DNAs, which made the nurture the only variant. By choosing families of completely different backgrounds for the kids, it was easier to monitor whether it is genes or upbringing.
