All This for What?

In the 17th century, John Locke, the philosopher, tried to express that the prevalent sentiment that some individuals were basically born superior to others was actually false. He supposed that people had no preprogrammed content in their minds. Their personalities were a direct result of the experiences they had.
Although the thought started out as a simple philosophical idea, a psychiatrist used it to experiment on families without their consent. David, Eddy, and Robert may have been used as proof that nature played a role in behavior as well as nurture, but the findings were basic on ethically corrupt data gathering techniques.
