Just a mere glance at this pianist’s credit is enough to leave one gawking in wonder and pure admiration. Abdullah Ibrahim’s music reflects his childhood from growing up in Cape Town. He fled South Africa during the turbulent years of Apartheid, but his musical heart saw him rise to greatness.
We have to admit that the mantra that there are no mistakes in music and perhaps in life itself is quite inspiring. Despite being an elderly person, Ibrahim is still actively composing and performing great numbers for the audience who loves him. This legend appears as timeless as the art that flows from his fingers when he touches an instrument.
