This little girl, Olivia Farnsworth, has a rare disability with a chromosome-6 deletion. She was born in Huddersfield, United Kingdom, and turned 12 in 2021. Her disability disallows her to feel pain, hunger, or the need to sleep.
The condition was first diagnosed when she got a lip cut at the age of six and had to go through surgery. While you might think that this is a superpower, not being able to feel pain, it’s not. Think about getting hit on your toe and bleeding for hours before seeing and finding out that you’ve lost a bottle’s worth of blood already. Scary, isn’t it?
