Uma Thurman – Claustrophobia
When talking about working with director Quentin Tarantino on the set of “Kill Bill”, Uma Thurman describes the working conditions as “dehumanizing.” The Boston native also had to overcome her fear of tight spaces to film an especially harrowing scene in “Kill Bill: Vol. 2 wherein she was to be buried alive in a coffin.
Along with being claustrophobic, Thurman is also somewhat afraid of heights, but this didn’t stop her from doing many of her own stunts in the action-packed “Kill Bill” series. In a 2021 op-ed for the Washington Post, Thurman was vocal in her stance against the Texas lawmakers’ ban on abortion, citing her own experiences as a teenager.
