At the 2001 MTV VMAs, Britney Spears rocked the stage with her sizzling performance of “I’m A Slave 4 U.” What made the performance truly other-worldly was a giant albino Burmese python named Banana draped across her shoulders as she perfectly hit every musical note.
What makes the performance doubly impressive is the fact that the “Baby One More Time” singer actually has a phobia of snakes. According to the snake handler, Spears reportedly broke down on multiple occasions and was reluctant to even go near the deadly reptile during the rehearsal. In 2021, the pop star made headlines with her documentary “Controlling Britney Spears.”
