A Kitten No More
Did you ever wonder why some cats are lean and some really chubby? Pets become overweight when they take more calories than they burn. These surplus calories are accumulated in the body as fat. The number of a cat’s fat cells is determined when it is a kitten. Each individual cell of the feline body can become bigger or smaller, depending upon the amount of fat stored in it.
A cat with swollen cells is trying to hide behind the table’s leg, failing to have the desired shelter. It could have worked when the animal was a kitten, but now it needs to search for a new place.
