The U.S. Navy has a Father-focused tradition
The U.S. Navy has been active for over 200 years. That’s a long time since its inception and enough time for a few traditions to be established. One notable tradition is the order of disembarkment when a Naval ship docks at the port.
Also, with all active-duty personnel eager to see their families after a long time at sea, special treatment is given to new dads on board. Yes, when a ship returns from deployment, those who get the privilege of getting off first are sailors who became fathers during the mission.
