Fight Fire With Fire

To make a fire, all you need is fuel, a flame, and enough oxygen for the fire to breathe. To put out a fire, you need something to smother the fire, i.e., water, sand, etc. But you cannot kill fire with something that fuels it. E.g., just because petrol is a liquid doesn’t mean you can smother a fire with it.
The same goes for putting out a candle, which can actually be put out with a wet finger. So why ,oh why did this person decide to use a Kleenex to put out a candle, which is just going to catch fire… unless it was a wet wipe.
