Garth Brooks and Sandy Mahl – Settlement: $125 Million
Garth Brooks and Sandy Mahl were lovebirds since college and got married in 1984, however, after 15 years of being together the couple filed for divorce due to emotional distances between them. The split in 1999 led to Sandy receiving $125 million in the settlement.
With no acts of betrayal tearing them apart, the two managed to remain close and co-parent all three of their children. Brooks moved on and married Tricia Yearwood, while Mahl never remarried. They are both now grandparents to two little girls. Mahl is also the co-founder of Wild Heart Ranch, an animal rehabilitation center.
