Mitt Romney – California (Approx. $23.5 Million)

Now, this is a home you’re probably familiar with already. Utah Senator Mitt Romney’s La Jolla, California home made headlines in 2012 due to its grandeur and infamous car elevator. Since then, the former Republican presidential aspirant has put the residence on the market and sold it for $23.5 million in 2021.
Safe to say, its new owner is one lucky person. Romney built the 8,153-square-foot beachfront mansion himself after tearing down a smaller house on the plot. The sale of the five-bedroom abode marked the fifth-most expensive home sale in the history of the county, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune.
