Joe Turkel – Age 94
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Joe Turkel isn’t just an actor – he also served in the United States Army during World War II. His first film appearance, ‘City Across the River’ in 1948, has led to several more film and television roles; more notably is the 1982 film ‘Blade Runner.’
He has lived in southern California since 1999, writing screenplays after his last role as Paxton Warner I in the 1990 sci-fi horror film ‘The Dark Side of the Moon.’ Joe, in an interview, said he enjoyed his career as an actor but decided to leave the industry and devote his time to writing instead.
