Shirley MacLaine – Age 87

Anyone could see the potential of Shirley MacLaine, who has a drama teacher mother, and Warren Beatty as a brother. She was poised to conquer Hollywood, and she did for over seven decades of powerful performances. Name any prestigious award, and she owns at least one of them.
After studying in New York, Shirley began to work on the ‘Me and Juliet’ stage play and was an understudy in the ‘The Pajama Game.’ Seeing the young actress’ magnetic display, ‘Paramount Pictures’ signed her and in no time debuted in 1965 film ‘The Trouble with Harry’ where she received the ‘New Star of the Year’ award. Over the years, Shirley’s raw, witty and genuine portrayals earned her a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award.’
