Literal Trash Talk
In the quest for motivational library signage, one establishment might have taken it a bit too literally. Above a garbage bin, a sign reads: “Mistakes are proof you are.” Unfortunately, the rest of the message seems to have gone missing, leaving a rather harsh impression: “Mistakes are proof you are trash.”
Maybe the bin’s placement wasn’t the best choice for an uplifting quote, or perhaps a word was obscured. Either way, the unintended message gives a new twist to the idea of “learning from our mistakes.” If you’re ever feeling down, at least you know that even trash gets a motivational boost sometimes!
