A Silent Invitation

To everyone’s surprise, the bear began to move. It walked toward the door, its enormous frame shifting with purpose. It paused, turning its head to look back at Hana, almost as if checking to make sure she was still following. The officers stiffened, hands hovering near their weapons, unsure of the bear’s intentions.
Hana, however, was stunned. There was something almost human in the bear’s actions. It wasn’t aggressive anymore; it was leading them somewhere. “It wants us to follow,” Hana said softly, disbelief in her voice. The officers exchanged wary glances, but Hana felt an undeniable pull to follow the bear.
