A Call for Help

With every step into the deepening woods, Hana felt more and more isolated. Her phone was the only connection to the outside world, so she pulled it from her pocket and dialed Peter. “Peter, I’m in the woods with the bear. It’s leading me somewhere. I need help,” she said, her voice trembling slightly with the cold.
After a brief silence, Peter’s concerned voice came through. “Hana, you need to get out of there. Wild animals are unpredictable, and this is dangerous. Stay where you are—I’ll come to you.” But Hana couldn’t stop. She felt a pull to continue, to discover the truth.
