Hana’s Silent Plea

With every fiber of her being, Hana hoped the bear would sense her intentions. She didn’t want to be a threat. She took slow, deliberate steps, hoping the bear would see her calm demeanor and understand that she meant no harm. Her eyes softened, and she lowered herself, trying to appear non-threatening.
“I’m not your enemy,” she silently conveyed with every movement. There was a fragile moment where the bear’s tense posture shifted, and it seemed to relax just slightly. Hana couldn’t be sure, but it felt like the bear was starting to understand her. For now, she was safe.
