LAV-25 – Cost: $1.252 Million

The Lav-25 Light Armored Vehicle has been an essential part of the Marine Corps since its first use in the early ’80s. Its versatility has allowed it to perform a wide range of tasks, such as reconnaissance missions and assaults while it is also able to traverse both land and water while carrying weapons and other military equipment.
Despite its longevity, the Marine Corps is looking to upgrade and invest money for a replacement. With the Force Design 2030 initiative in mind, the Corps put out a call for proposals for the creation of an Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle prototype in 2021.
