Eventually, they decided to get another dog. Billy felt uncertain after that decision. Erica, clearly unsure, shook her head, feeling it was too soon. Losing Rio, who was dear to all of them, made her hesitant. She was surprised Billy mentioned getting a new pet so soon. Despite their doubts, they felt a dog-shaped hole in their lives needed filling.
