The Teacher-Turned-Superhero
History would tell us that a hostage crisis could have two endings: the person/people held will freely go unharmed toward the end or the culprit claims the victims’ lives. Luckily, we have modern-day heroes living among us, including this PE teacher in a Serbian high school, who disarmed a shooter and saved the lives of his students.
According to DW, the suspect with explosive devices and guns entered a classroom, claiming he wanted to talk to the president. Some students were able to contact Slavoljub Stojadinovic, who was at the gym at the time and then he ran toward the room to jump on the assailant.
