For many, just like the men lost at sea, sometimes stepping away from reality is the only way to live in a world free from worries. In reality, capitalism in our world today still means that the rich will get richer, and the poor will get poorer.
People have resigned to the fact that there’s no real good in the world, and no matter who tries to pose as a Messiah, there will always still be a personal interest in the matter. It’s not surprising that people turn to illegal substances to avoid reality.
