Modern Slavery

Not sure what’s happening here or why she’s chained to that spot but what’s certain is that she’s not going anywhere. And she couldn’t have chosen to chain herself there so it’s probably the manager who enforced this perhaps to make sure she doesn’t leave her station.
It may seem primitive but this is the reality of work in a capitalist economy. Managers feel like they own the lives of their workers and treat them as if they’re slaves. She may have a physical chain keeping her there but this type of slavery is still the same even for those who aren’t chained physically.
