An Unplanned Holiday
We can’t imagine what it would be like to be lost at sea, so far away from home and familiar terrain. These men must have been worried about food and safety, not to mention the uncertainty of whether they were ever going to make it home. But surprisingly, they called it a nice break from reality.
It’s hard to even try and imagine what reality is for these men for them to have enjoyed being lost far from civilization. Maybe it’s the fact that out there, they only had to worry about survival. At least, there won’t be any need for financial planning in the middle of the ocean.
