There’s a Book of Rule

Amish people believe that following the Ordnung, or rules of conduct, makes them better Christians. The unwritten set of guidelines for Amish daily life is known as the Ordnung. It exists to preserve the community. Everyone must follow the Ordnung’s rules in order to qualify as a member.
In addition to the Bible, this book of regulations outlines what they are and are not permitted to do. It is occasionally updated to reflect the current generation and way of life. The book also encourages learners about sayings and harvests, in addition to rules and restrictions, which ultimately benefit their financial position.
