Miley Cyrus – China
Miley Cyrus’ attempt to imitate Asians by lifting back the skin around her eyes was not amusing to the Chinese. Naturally, no one was shocked by Cyrus’s predicament, given her history of using harsh language toward specific racial groups and her acceptance of the recreational substance use culture.
Many others pointed at Cyrus, claiming that her joke was offensive and inappropriate for an adult. In response to the Organization of Chinese Americans’ strongly worded statement, the Chinese authorities went a step further and banned Cyrus. The country still forbids Miley from entering, even though she has now made an apology for all her actions.
