Busta Rhymes – UK

When Busta Rhymes, born Trevor George Smith Jr., arrived in the UK in 2008, he was halted at customs and temporarily denied entrance because of his criminal record and “unresolved convictions.” The officers tried to board him on a flight back to the USA after they had him detained at the airport.
At the time, his attorney reportedly asserted that Rhymes had a legitimate work visa by citing the fact that he had performed in two performances in the UK earlier that year and had finished community service as punishment for his offenses. They were successful in getting a High Court Injunction to stop the deportation temporarily.
