Oh man, cooking broccoli in your microwave is the worst idea! There is so much water retained in broccoli that it will give off enough steam to turn your plastic container into a joke that’s not funny. Also, as a public health and safety announcement, it is not a good idea to microwave food in a plastic container.
Microwaving the plastic container releases harmful chemicals into the food in a process that the World Health Organisation calls “leaking.” It won’t affect the taste much, but we want deliciousness to leak into our food, not nasty chemicals from plastic.
