The Wild Child (1970), 1 hr 23 mins – IMDb user rating: 7.5

Long before the movie “Tarzan” hit theaters in the late 1990s, one French film of an almost similar story was already made. The 1970 picture “The Wild Child” revolves around a boy found in a forest in 1798. After a woman saw him, she told hunters to catch the child, and when they finally did, they noticed he didn’t know how to speak nor understand what they were saying.
Fascinated by the boy’s wild behavior, Dr. Itard vows to study and help the child integrate back into society. He initially enrolled the boy in a school for the deaf and mute. He then learned that the boy just lacked the right environment.
