Kids can be a pain, even for expert babysitters. However, in the film “Mary Poppins,” the children learn to form a wonderful bond with their parents, thanks to a magical nanny and the aid of Bert. The 1964 movie starred the ever-talented Julie Andrews, who won an Academy Award for this portrayal. All in all, this picture garnered 13 Oscar nods, winning five.
It also gave us some of the most iconic hits like “Chim Chim Cher-ee” and “Spoonful of Sugar.” It has amassed a cult following that another film, “Mary Poppins Returns,” hit the big screens in 2018.
