Diego Maradona – USA
In addition to his prowess on the soccer pitch, former football superstar Diego Maradona is renowned for his propensity for troublemaking. The Argentinian was initially prohibited from entering the United States after testing positive for using the illegal substance ephedrine during the 1994 World Cup. The consequence was his ban from the United States and the World Cup.
In 2018, he attempted to apply for a visa to enter the US, but the country’s government once again rejected him due to his insults to President Donald Trump. Despite the long-standing animosity between the United States and Maradona, the former athlete did triumph at the 1994 FIFA World Cup.
