An English actor and producer named Sacha Baron was banned from Kazakhstan due to playing the title role in the parody film “Borat.” The movie’s main focus was how Kazakhstan might be successfully integrated into the modern world using American cultural norms, with hilarious results.
The satirical comedy was not well received by Kazakhstan’s government, which resulted in the film’s prohibition as well as Baron’s participation in it. The government’s choice, in contrast, was viewed as unfair by Baron’s supporters, who made them reconsider it. And in 2020, the nation used the movie’s catchphrase “Very Nice” in a campaign to promote tourism.
