Sharon Stone – China

Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008, Hollywood A-Lister and ardent supporter of charity organizations Sharon Stone claimed that the Sichuan Earthquake, in which thousands of people died, was the consequence of bad karma accrued by the Chinese due to their treatment of the Dalai Lama.
In retaliation for her comments, the Chinese government outlawed all of her projects in their country. Also, one of China’s most prominent movie theater companies declared it would no longer screen any of the leading lady’s movies either. Stone doesn’t appear to have a formal ban, but even so, she would probably not be welcomed into the country with open arms.
