The Beatles – The Philippines

The Beatles did have some detractors in their day, though seemingly everyone loved the group and what they stood for. Because they declined the first lady of the nation’s invitation to breakfast, the famous band was exiled from the Philippines.
Following their 1965 record’s release, they decided to embark on a world tour with a planned performance in the Philippines. The infamous Imelda Marcos, the first lady, planned a 200-person gala and invited The Beatles as special guests, but they turned her down. The band attempted to apologize, but the first lady made her displeasure known by ejecting them from the country.
