Jesus Christ – 30 A.D., Shores of the Sea of Galilee, Israel – The Sermon on the Mount

Whether you’re a believer or not, you’ve probably come across the teachings of Jesus Christ in your daily life or theology class. That’s because there’s something universal about many of his public homilies, including the one dubbed as “The Sermon on the Mount,” which is part of the gospel of Matthew in the New Testament.
Delivered around 30 A.D. along the shores of the Sea of Galilee in present-day Israel, it is best remembered for its inclusion of the Beatitudes and the Lord’s Prayer. The former enumerated the qualities of people who belonged to the Kingdom of Heaven.
