What ’30s Commercial Planes Looked Like Inside
The ’50s and ’60s might have been the golden age of flying, but commercial planes have been around even before those heydays. Just take a look at the interiors of what a passenger aircraft looked like in the ’30s. Think you would’ve enjoyed a ride on these wooden seats?
According to The Net Letter, this was the cabin of a plane in the Imperial Airways fleet, which operated from 1924 to 1939. The air passenger carrier primarily served the British Empire flying travelers from destinations as far east as Hong Kong, which was then a colony under King George V.
