Allied Troops Mock Hitler Atop The Ruins Of His Own Office

Here’s another incredible photograph showing the triumphant end of World War II. Pictured here are Allied troops seemingly mocking Adolf Hitler’s trademark mustache and salute after his demise. What makes this even more noteworthy, though, is the place where they were standing.
According to The Scottish Sun, these were the ruins of the Reich Chancellery, which served as the architectural symbol of the Nazi regime’s rule. The building was commissioned by Hitler himself and finished in 1939. This image, meanwhile, was taken in May 1945 in Berlin, Germany, during the final days of World War II.
