Sophie
Sophie was a Scottish producer, singer-songwriter, and DJ who is widely regarded as a pioneer of the hyper-pop genre. Known for her innovative sound and boundary-pushing approach to music production, she quickly gained a cult following with her early singles “Bipp” and “Lemonade.” She collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Madonna and Charli XCX.
She was open about her own gender identity and used her music to promote acceptance and visibility for trans and non-binary people. Tragically, Sophie passed away in January 2021, but her impact on music and culture will be felt for years.
